The pandemic caused an unprecedented disruption in the educational-training processes and changed the landscape ‘overnight’ requiring, in this context, an immediate reaction from the ministries of education and labour, schools, training institutions, teacher-trainers-tutors, students-trainees and parents-legal guardians, among other national, regional and local structures with responsibility for the decisions and guidelines on education and vocational training.
Cedefop’s ‘community of apprenticeship experts’ launched an internal consultation on how European countries are managing apprenticeships (VET) in the current state of emergency.
Cedefop invited experts to share their countries’ reaction to the coronavirus crisis, in terms of impacts on apprenticeships and on vocational education and training (VET) measures.
Twenty-five (25) experts contributed to this exercise, namely: Austria, Belgium (fr, fl, de), Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, England-United Kingdom and United Kingdom-Wales.
