Futurália, the largest education, training and employability fair in the country, was held in Lisbon from 14 to 17 March. In addition to the event, it is worth highlighting the Futurália Forum, which aimed at anticipating trends on central themes in the field of lifelong education and training, employment and youth.
This year Futurália also counted with “Futurália Emprego & Empregabilidade” space, aimed at young people recently graduated and unemployed both adults and youth. Many employers, human resources and training enterprises, programme managers bodies, measures and incentives for employability have been at the fair aiming at publicising the offer of employment solutions, training and internships, to promote successful employability and empowerment.
With more than 80 000 visitors, 530 entities and enterprises and 21 countries represented, DGERT, by its attributions, could not miss the call. This year was the first time of our presence in the event, with the Accreditation of training providers and the ReferNet Portugal, the European network specialised in vocational education and training.
Regarding the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the Accreditation system of training providers in Portugal and the dynamics that it intends to implement in the ReferNet Portugal network, the purpose of the participation was to publicise the role and work of the DGERT, Accreditation and ReferNet Portugal. It allowed being close to the public in general and explained and clarified questions of the participants.
Several renowned personalities attended the fair, and DGERT had, on 16 March, the visit of the Secretary of State for Employment, Miguel Cabrita.
