The new OECD report highlights that in 2016 41% of upper secondary Portuguese students were enrolled in vocational education. According to the Education at a Glance 2018, Portugal is still below the government’s stated goal for 2020 (50%), but the increasing tendency brings the country closer to the OECD average (44%). The employment rate among 25-64 year-olds with a vocational upper secondary or post-secondary non-tertiary education is relatively high (83.2%) compared to other OECD and partner countries.
